
Ideal International School, Ranchi successfully organised the School Level of the CBSE Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) 2026–27 in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The championship aims to promote culinary skills, creativity, nutrition awareness, food hygiene, teamwork, and experiential learning among students of Classes VI to XII.
The competition was conducted in two categories—Fireless Cooking and Fire Cooking. Students enthusiastically showcased their culinary talents by preparing innovative, nutritious, and beautifully presented dishes while demonstrating creativity and confidence.
The participants in the Fireless Cooking category were Injal Kumari, Shambhavi Singh, Priyanshi Ekka, Kavya Kumari; Sajiya Parween, Laiba Khurshid, Tanya Kumari, Utkarsh Pratap; and Sulekha Tirkey, Eliana Samyra, Ashwat Alok, and Subhagya Singh. In the Fire Cooking category, Anuradha Pandey and Yusuf participated with great enthusiasm.
The dishes were evaluated by the distinguished jury members, Mrs. Kusum Casmir Bara Ma’am and Mr. Abhiman Roy Sir, Faculty Members from IHM Ranchi, who appreciated the students for their creativity, presentation, taste, and culinary skills.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sumbul Alam Ma’am, Director of Ideal International School, Ranchi, along with the Principal Ma’am and the Administrator Sir. They encouraged the participants throughout the competition and applauded their dedication, innovation, and enthusiasm. They also appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the staffs for successfully conducting the championship and motivating students to develop practical life skills alongside academic excellence.
The competition concluded on a cheerful note, inspiring students to explore the world of culinary arts while embracing healthy cooking practices, creativity, and teamwork.
